    • Synopsis
    • Dismantling the linear narrative, images follow a dreamlike pattern, with the aim of depicting the personalities of the characters, creating connections and links between their stories and the stories of the film Rossellini, transforming the volcanic island into a mythical labyrinth, where the ghosts of the past and present meet and mirror one another. The four protagonists of Red Ash are all locals, strombolani (two of which were directly involved in Rossellini's film), and the film critic Adriano Apra, known expert of Rossellini’s work.
