    • Synopsis
    • Rachel, who has just turned 16, leaves the Paris suburbs and her mother with a letter of parental consent for emancipation in her pocket. She heads for the country, to her late father's home region. In this little village in the French desert, she runs into Simon, a childhood friend. She keeps her distance. She camps out on the old sports field, in an abandoned water tower. Through the fields and over the paths, she reaches the forests and the old saw mill, which the villagers loath. Martin had gone bankrupt and welcomed a community of idlers, natives or passive strangers. They make room for Rachel. She leaves just when Martin's utopia crumbles, taking with her the dramas and tenderness shared with them.
