- In 1998 Marco Pantani took the cycling world by storm when he won both the Giro D’Italia and the Tour De France – a feat that has not since been repeated.
  But six years later, Pantani was found dead in a cheap Italian hotel.
  This film charts his meteoric ascent to the top of his sport on the mountains he loved and examines the network of gangsters, gambling and drugs that led to his tragic downfall.
