Haruo, a Japanese film director who had temporarily stopped the shooting in Taiwan and had the shot films in his hand. It was a story of the couple who tried to emigrate to America from Taiwan in 1970s. He plans to restart the shooting with producer.
During the new casting, Haruo met a youth of Taiwan, Ma. Ma has been confused about where he belongs to. The incongruity of being in Taiwan makes him wanders from place to place.
By having conversation with Ma, Haruo’s script had changed and could not see the ending. The film had recorded Ma, who has been looking for his homeland in Taiwan and Japan, past and now.
