      Policies designed to maintain biodiversity promoted from the power centers do not consider that the territories are occupied by human beings that make up the biodiversity to be protected.
      Western worldview separates man from natural processes.

      In 2003, the UN declared Biosphere Reserve a vast territory that includes the last bastion reserve lifestyle of the Nation Yshiro: the National Park Black River, in northern Paraguay. Since the declaration of the National Park entry is prohibited to Yshiro its richest territory.

      The Yshiro developed for millenniums, a culture of harmonious relationship with their environment. In 100 years their territory was reduced to 5% of their surface. Ranchers, loggers, military, traders hides of wild animals, commercial fishermen and more recently, the so-called expansion of the agricultural frontier and advancing conservation NGOs behind the statement Biosphere Reserve, condemned the Yshiro to a life of survival and underground. Conservationism prohibits and penalizes their traditional livelihood: hunting and fishing. Yshiro criminalization of culture occurs. Since 1995 the Brazilian Forestry Police sowing terror.
