    • Synopsis
    • One Second From Eternity chronicles the history of the World Land Speed Record (LSR).

Featuring Gary "Rocketman" Gabelich, holder of one of the international land speed records. The film begins with the first official record set in France in 1898 and follows the developments in car design and the international competition. Competition for the record would be fierce, first between the French and Belgians and then the British and Americans.

The films showcases the dreams and planning that go into a record attempt and the drama as each "impossible" speed barrier falls...100 mph, 200 mph, 400 mph, 500 mph, 600 mph and the current record set in 1997 by British driver Andy Green who broke the sound barrier at 763.035 mph.

Today, drivers including a team from Australia are building cars they hope will go 1,000 mph.

The film is currently being re-edited to include the new teams and their cars and will be re-released in January 2016.
