    • Synopsis
    • Roberto (32 years old) is an illegal Mexican immigrant who works as a window cleaner of the New York city skyscrapers. Through the window panes he cleans he sees Susan, a filmmaker from N.Y. who is working on a documentary about suicides in the Mexico City subway.
      They follow each other as they roam around their daily routine. Finally, one day, they meet. She is scared of heights and he is claustrophobic. They're common place will be at ground level, on the city pavement. Their relationship is based on mutual admiration, and a special bond of those who are lonely and in search of a place to survive.
      Susan tells him that her documentary is not only her work but a personal obsession to find the reasons why her father committed suicide in Mexico City's subway. The faces, the cafes and the situations she lives in Mexico help her realize that this was the beginning of the search and the true reason of her quest: her own loneliness and the attempt to find a reason to live.
      Suddenly one day, when there seems to be hope, Susan disappears, Roberto looks all over the city for her desperately she isn’t behind the window pane of the 28th floor, working on her documentary. A security guard tells him that she tried to commit suicide. Thanks to her sister Roberto finds her in the hospital, convinced she has reached bottom and that now she’s prepared to face life. They realize they are only Nomads looking for love and a place in the world.
