    • Synopsis
    • James and his band of soldiers travel from the grand ballrooms of Harlem nightclubs to the frontline trenches of war-torn France. They quickly become heroes overseas, helping to repel the enemy while lifting spirits wherever they perform. His “Harlem Hellfighters” are commended for their bravery in battle, for which they received the French military’s highest Medal of Honor, and for introducing Jazz to the world.  Unexpectedly, upon their triumphant return home, James and his band are the victims of a brutal tragedy. No Man's Land is the story of a visionary who embodied a movement and the music that changed the world.
