    • Synopsis
    • Niño de Elche is a multidisciplinary singer who has known how to combine, from his artistic practices, genres as different as flamenco, poetry, minimalist, rock, free improvisation, performance, electronic or contemporary music, managing to blur the boundaries between them. It has been said about him: "Real and authentic art. The man who dynamited flamenco", but this capacity to break and innovate has a price. Freedom is not free.
The community protects you, but it also imposes rules on you. If you don't respect them, the community won't forgive you.
Niño de Elche was a child prodigy cradled by the flamenco community. As a teenager he began to transgress the canon, which confronted him violently against his family and flamenco fans to this day.
By fighting for his freedom, Niño de Elche recovered the essence of flamenco, which was always alien to the rigidity of orthodoxy.
While he shook flamenco up, other communities he belonged to started to fall apart, such as the family, the Communist Party, the Spanish underground music scene or his own identity.
