Tom Brand, a billionaire daredevil, seems to have it all. He's just announced the opening of his crowning achievement, the tallest building in the world. There’s only one problem, he’s put his relationship with his family on the back burner in order to ensure the construction of his dream. It’s his daughter Rebecca’s birthday and she’s only ever asked for one thing, unfortunately it’s the last thing that Tom ever wants to see…a cat. He eventually relents and visits the mystic owner of a strange pet shop and adopts an Egyptian Mau. Running late to Rebecca’s birthday party, he’s called to an emergency work meeting yet again. Once there, the weather turns abnormally foul and a freak accident knocks Brand off of the building, leaving his body in a comatose state. His mind and spirit, however, have somehow been transferred to his daughter’s new best friend…the Egyptian Mau.
Now in the cat’s body, Tom is forced to spend time with his wife and kids and see the world through a completely different and unexpected perspective. Hilarity ensues as he tries to communicate his predicament to anyone that will listen (which is no one). As time progresses, TomCat begins to learn that what was once most important to him, The Tower, might be the exact reason his family is falling apart, a fact he had previously ignored. Ultimately he’s presented with the sobering lesson that in order to reclaim his humanity he must set aside his ego in order to make amends to almost everyone in his life and to repair his marriage & his family.
