- Synopsis
- Carmen, a Catholic, Apostolic, middle-aged woman from Málaga, has one dream in life: to become the president of her congregation. But her hopes fade to the election of Ignacio, her biggest rival. Ridiculous and proud, he will even try to relegate her from her position. Carmen will understand she’ll never be able to fulfill her dream because of being a woman. On the day of the procession, Ignacio drops by her house and, in an unfortunate accident, he is left unconscious on the floor of the bathroom. Carmen will find herself trying to hide him as the house grows crowded with people. The first to come, Carmen’s sister and her neighbour who, with one’s neurosis and the other’s torrijas, will unstoppably entangle the situation, getting on Carmen’s nerves. What starts as a terrible tight spot will become Carmen’s opportunity to fulfill her dream.
