- Synopsis
- Museum of Immortality is an interactive documentary that deals with humanity's difficult relationship with death. The museum as a space that preserves and conserves. The museum as a freezing, stopping machine. The museum then, like a time machine. This machine brings to life the words and images of those who believed that thanks to technical progress, in a future ideal society we would all have access to immortality. A truly just society would not deny eternal life to anyone. Our ancestors would be resurrected to enjoy its benefits. In the rooms of the Museum the longed-for resurrection would take place.
  This docufiction takes up again the figures of the Russian biocosmists and the immortalist theories. Their aim was the resurrection of the dead and the prolongation of life by scientific means to reach socialism.
  This documentary will work with immersive elements: photography and video in 360°, immersive sound, the use of augmented reality and the urban route added to it, holography, and the assignment of roles for the user. Another section of the museum will be made up of representations of death through art. There will be reproductions of paintings and engravings on medieval macabre dances and a collection of prints on galvanism. Work will be done with a counterpart space of the Museum: the cemetery. A sound tour of Recoleta cemetery in Buenos Aires will be designed, using geolocation and sound to propose an immersive experience to users.
  The human desire to live forever will resonate in all the spaces of the Museum of Immortality.
