    • Synopsis
    • Mother’s Tongue takes viewers on a partially speculative journey through the history of Chinese restaurants in Sweden. In three chapters that play out in the past (1978), present (2018), and future (2058), we follow the stories of three women, their lives in the diaspora and the technological, social and cultural clashes they live through. The images are produced with the use of 3D laser scans of real life restaurants.
Mother’s Tongue is currently on view in the permanent collection of Moderna Museet, Stockholm.
