    • The film portrait the last years of life of José María Morelos y Pavón (1812 – 1815) leader of Mexican Independence movement that after circumventing Calleja´s battalion in Cuautla, reorganized his troops and took Oaxaca city. Nevertheless, having more tan half of the territory in his hands, he wishes on taking Acapulco´s Port meanwhile Royal
      troops reorganize and take back land. It shows the relationship between Morelos and his lieutenants, his concerns for creating Institutions and a disciplined army capable of making front Royal troops. The film captures two indissolubly aspects of this Mexican heroes: Contradictions and passions.
