    • Synopsis
    • What if you went to sleep in your own bed, only to wake up in the middle of nowhere?
Missing Pieces tells the story of two unsuspecting victims, Maggie and Daylen, who wake up every day in a new and desolate location with a different task to complete. The tasks range from blowing up a car in the desert, to climbing a snow-covered mountain. Upon completion of each assignment, they are rendered unconscious and transported to a new location.
The couple must navigate remote locations to complete each task, determine why they were kidnapped and by whom, and ultimately work out how to get home. The bizarre process unites the two strangers and allows them to come to terms with their respective issues.
As the unusual story takes place, the back stories of Maggie, Daylen and their kidnapper David (Mark Boone Jr - Batman Begins, Memento, Sons of Anarchy) unfold as a multi-part narrative culminating in the abduction.
Maggie is a young adult struggling with the harsh realities of life and the repercussions of her rebellious independence. Daylen is a recent college graduate working in a ‘temporary’ job he hates, while struggling to find the right girl and maintain a relationship with his family.
David is an instantly likeable yet flawed deliveryman. A head trauma several years earlier has left him with a curious condition that makes you question his misguided actions. Gripped by a self help tape and inspired by the artwork of his estranged girlfriend (played by Melora Walters - Magnolia, Cold Mountain), he concocts a strange and deluded plan to win her back.
