    • Synopsis
    • HOWARD SCHMEAR, a wannabe Hippie Afro Jew from New York City decides to leave his home to join the “Movement” in Haight Asbury CA. So he packs up his psychedelic VW bus with his favorite bong and heads west. His bus breaks down in Butterfield, WI and he does not have enough money to fix it. He finds out that Margarine is illegal to sell, buy or distribute in WI in fact it is a felony and people get hard time in jail and so he is determined to raise the money to fix his bus by smuggling margarine to the residents of Butterfield Between the diva cow and the police margarine checkpoints he seems to get into some interesting situations and learns about family and community.
      MARGARINE WARS is inspired by insipid laws, which really did exist.
