    • Synopsis
    • The Magnitude of All Things is a personal and philosophical documentary about love, loss, the planet and cultural transformation. It delves into the deep recesses of grief; both the filmmaker’s own grief after the death of her sister Saille and a larger, collective grief about the state of the natural world, especially climate change. At the end of her life, Saille found the courage to face her deepest fears and sorrows. Numerous health care professionals, philosophers, climate scientists and activists believe that same stance is necessary to effectively confront climate change.

The Magnitude of All Things follows the vanguard of this movement, those at the forefront of a new multi-disciplinary field called the psychology of climate change that explores the mental health dimensions of the climate crisis. While grief is the starting point, it is not the end. This film seeks to celebrate life and death, the two inextricably bound in ways we too frequently deny. It is about the difficult feelings aroused by climate change, what makes us human and how we can find the courage to see, understand and confront arguably the greatest challenge the world has ever faced.
