    • Synopsis
    • Days after a disheartening directors meeting Chris finds herself in the bleak reality of life as a struggling artist: returning from a crummy day job (a promo gig at a trade show in Las Vegas). Thanks her diva-esque companion, Jocelyn, their car runs out of gas and they find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere, clad in their Princess promo costumes.

Desperate to get back to LA for an audition, Chris is determined to hitch a ride to the gas station but the barren landscape provides little hope. She is left waiting alongside her self obsessed comrade and tensions build.

After a long day of waiting they finally hail a ride from the young eccentric named Ted. Ted insists on taking the girls to the station and things are looking up. However, once in his car his strange behavior escalates. From the back seat an already jittery Jocelyn discovers a gun in Ted's console. She panics fleeing the vehicle with the weapon. Livid at Jocelyn's spastic behavior, Chris (still desperate to get to the station) chases after her. Chris yells at Jocelyn, erupting her pent up aggression on her friend. Ted reappears accosting Jocelyn and Chris throws a rock at Ted knocking him unconscious. The girls are then forced to journey the long hot trek to the nearest town.

In town they meet a set driver who divulges that a massive block buster is being filmed nearby. The driver agrees to return to help the girls after he runs an errand for his boss, the director's son.

While waiting for the set driver to return, the girls explore the town and later Jess apologizes to Jocelyn. Under the canopy of a desert night's sky both girls have honest realizations about what it is they both are chasing and how in their pursuits they've become so lost.

The driver returns with the town car, at last the adventure of the day is coming to a close. But as they climb into the back seat the director's son is revealed: Ted, (now with a bandaged forehead) sits sulking. In hilarious irony and quiet awkwardness they drive into the night.

A quirky dramedy that illustrates the struggle of pursuing dreams and the unexpected magic to be discovered in the journey.
