    • Synopsis
    • This psychological and erotic drama begins following the dual journeys of two strangers destined to change the life of the other. Roberta is the drop dead gorgeous but abused mistress of an upscale Florida drug courier (Ramon) traveling westward with a cache of cocaine en route to Reno. Meanwhile, Bobby, a homeless war veteran and recovering cocaine addict, heads eastward on the same lonely interstate, clinging to the hope of a long-expired job opportunity in Omaha. By nightfall all are captives of a raging blizzard of epic proportions.
Abandoned by Ramon after he buries their car in a snow drift, Roberta discovers the car’s windows and doors are frozen shut by ice, forcing her to break out and crawl through a window into the sub-zero wind and snow. After scavenging some of Ramon’s clothing, she too staggers into the teeth of the vicious storm until miles later she stumbles over Ramon’s frozen body. Roberta seizes the briefcase (but not Ramon’s wallet) and struggles on, clinging to life through the blizzard until she miraculously reaches the isolated motel-truck stop of Little America, Wyoming, named after Admiral Byrd’s Antarctic outpost.
Penniless and in shock from hypothermia, Roberta is befriended there by the dispirited and mysterious Bobby who offers her the unconditional kindness of sharing his sparse room while they are stranded over Christmas. They develop a fragile but loving bond while beginning a more treacherous journey together in search of identity and soul. At the same time some very dangerous and determined people are looking for Roberta and her briefcase full of cocaine. As the evils of their desperate pasts close in, Bobby and Roberta must test the free will of man, the forces of fate, and the power of love in this dark, sensual and modern re-telling of the timeless tale of Don Quixote and Aldonza/Dulcinea.
