    • Synopsis
    • This film parallels the real life with a virtual game.

In the game, a female killer wanders the streets of Los Angeles on a dark night. Police sirens wail all around. There are people lying in the streets… possibly dead, possibly asleep.

In real life, a woman expresses her suffering and depression over her love life. The roles she plays on social media reveals the symptoms of a mental disorder. The film also presents different episodes of young people's life in Shanghai, showing how they performance to try to fill their social roles in this big city, how they deal with the ubiquitous screens, new technologies and the hypermediated world, how they communicate with others also how they live in solitude, and how they experience the space-time construction created by our time and us. Virtual space, dream space, daily space, urban space, bodily space, cellphone space, social space...these young people get lost in different spaces, or maybe they exist in each layer of their reality.
