    • Synopsis
    • A strange growth in its water level has monopolized the
attention of the scientific world causing the displacement
of the surrounding communities. A documentary that
presents this lake as a window to all nations where you can
see the consequences of climate change.
Well known scientists explain the reasons for the largest
and fastest water rising ever recorded in the history of
the lake, and how the American crocodile, iguanas,
flamingos, have adapted to their current situation after
the great flood with virtual recreations of the geological
phenomenon that resulted in the formation of this lake in
the center of the Hispaniola Island being below sea level.
Footage from 1988 until July of 2014 are presented in
contrast to reveal the heavenly and exotic places that were
buried beneath its waters. Will we see these landscapes
      ever again?
In what way the flooding of the lake has changed the lives
      of its inhabitants?
At the end, a wake up call to the citizens of the world to
protect and preserve our planet and the effects and
      consequences of climate change.
