- Synopsis
- A renegade Moscow detective defies government pressure and investigates the assassination of a maverick war reporter. The trail leads to a web of counter espionage involving chemical warfare, an untraceable gun, a daughter who has disappeared and the assassination of the Russian president.
  Inspired by true events surrounding the life and death of crusading journalist Anna Politkovskaya, the film will be shot in the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary this year.
  The ensemble cast is set to star John Cusack, Famke Janssen (Taken, X-Men: The Last Stand) along with Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense…), Sean Austin (Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers…) and Rutger Hauer (Batman Begins, Sin City...).
  The crew includes legendary director of photography Douglas Milsome, (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Full Metal Jacket...), production designer John Collins (The Hunger Games, Oceans Eleven...) and editor Derek Burgess (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Quantum of Solace, Batman Begins...).
