    • Synopsis
    • The Hernández Melazzi carry a pigeon tradition for generations. Pigeon racing is the art of breeding and training homing pigeons for the purpose of sporting competition, taking advantage of the instinct of these birds. The homing pigeon is a monogamous species that shows a powerful urge to return home to its mate and chicks. Pigeons always return to their loft, no matter how far they are taken and once there, they do not leave for the world.
Emilio studies dance, he is 18 years old and after the death of Lucia, his mother, inherits the family loft with serious financial problems. He and his sister Georgina have no affinity with pigeons and are keen to end the Hernández Melazzi tradition, if it weren't for the pigeons never leaving.
After several futile attempts to get rid of the pigeons and worthless to kill them, they are forced to take over this cursed inheritance. For this they will have the invaluable help of Juan, who has cared for the pigeons with Lucia for years. He is the only one who knows how to carry out this company. Juan is a young man from the interior of the country, an eternal veterinary student who plays the guitar and composes songs that reveal him as a sentient soul.
Lucia's ghost intermittently accompanies Emilio, who processes his mother's grief both at night and during the day.
Emilio's nights are spent many times with Long-Haired Boy, an accomplice with whom he cures, semi-drugged, semi-drunk, the promiscuity of clubs and parks.
During the day Emilio will have to go to work at the Palomar. At the same time that an allergic cough is overcome, caused by the smell that comes out of the cages, she will fall in love with Juan, his songs and also the pigeons. Especially one: the Black Winki.
A pigeon racing championship in Porto Alegre, the most important in South America, promises a first prize of $ 25,000.
Juan and Emilio hopefully cling to Porto Alegre and the Black Winki.
Could it be that the fragile flight of a pigeon holds the solution to all problems?
