- Synopsis
- ‘Katia’s Sister’, that’s what she and everyone else call her. We call her ‘Little Sister’. Sister’s mother fled to Amsterdam from former Yugoslavia with Grandma and Little Sister’s elder sister Katia, who was four years older. She ended up as a prostitute and was almost immediately pregnant with Little Sister. Little Sister is now 14 and adores her elder sister Katia. Little Sister can face the whole world as long as she gets just a little attention from Katia and can share her bed at night. When she then caresses Katia’s beautiful face and long black hair, she feels intensely happy. Little Sister does not go to school any more, but no one notices this at home. Little Sister takes care of Mama and Katia. She cooks, clears up and does the shopping. When she has finished, she crawls under the dining table to play with her Lion King animals. Or she goes into the centre of Amsterdam to watch people, preferably strange foreign tourists.
