- John Howe is one of today´s most famous fantasy artists, and long considered one of the prime illustrators of J.R.R. Tolkien's work - he also provided the concept design for Peter Jackson's LOTR Trilogy (together with Alan Lee). The story of this creative documentary is of course the story of John Howe, his life and work - but it is also an excursion into the subject of Fantasy vs Reality, Illustration vs "real" Art, to show that opposites may not only attract, but merge and intertwine to the best of their effect, creating a new reality, a new world - literally working magic.
