- John Bauer (1882-1918) the world known Swedish fairy tale artist died only 36 years old. His images of myths and ancient world are a cultural treasure known throughout the world. An extraordinary artist affected by the struggle with and love for Esther, his wife and fairy princess. "If You could only see the elf and troll and mythical creature that I have in my head. And the princess that is so beautiful" This was the words of the 5 years old John. And he spent the rest of his short life to make his fantasy come to life.
