- Shortly after emerging from his pupa case, an innocent little green cicada named Bug is unwittingly plunged into a world of deadly assassins, nightclub rivalry, more music and exciting romance when he overhears a human conversation condemning him to an all too brief life span of just one day. The Jitterbug is a story of growth. It celebrates the little guy and shows that life is indeed an exciting journey if you choose to fly it alone.
