    • Itaker is the story of a voyage from Italy to Germany, in the years before the economic boom. A special voyage, because it is a nine year old boy named Pietro, who undertakes it, in order to find his emigrant father, of whom he has no news for a long time. He is accompanied on this voyage, harsh and full of discoveries, by Benito, an penniless Italian who, despite of himself, through Pietro learns the meaning of fatherhood. As a background to the main plot, we see the world of the italian emigrants in Germany, their hopes and disappointments and their search for a better tomorrow than the one they can expect in their own country.
