      SANTANA (CHILE, 1899-1966) MADE AROUND 70 MOVIES IN CHILE, PERU, ECUADOR, PARAGUAY, COLOMBIA, PANAMA, COSTA RICA AND PUERTO RICO. HE INITIATED SILENT FILM PRODUCTION IN CHILE AND SOUND FILMS (TALKIES) IN PERU AND ECUADOR, COUNTRIES WERE HIS FIGURE IS STARTING TO BE RESCUED. HIS MOVIE “I LOST MY HEART IN LIMA” 1933, WAS THE FIRST PERUVIAN FILM TO BE RESTORED, AND ALSO HIS FILM “UNDER THE SOUTHERN CROSS”1947, WAS RECOVERED IN CHILE.
      WE FOUND HIS ONLY LIVE SON IN ECUADOR AND SOME OF HIS MOVIE ACTORS, WHOM ARE HELPING US TO RECOVER HIS PRODUCTION.
      IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF A FILMMAKER, ALBERTO SANTANA. A FILM THAT TELLS US OF PASSION FOR CINEMA AND COUNTRIES STRUGGLING TO REGAIN THEIR MEMORY.
