    • Synopsis
    • An amateur comic book reader investigates the trail of a lost childhood hero, Dan Cooper. For more than 50 years Dan Cooper will be Canada’s icon to millions of Europeans, symbol of justice, peace and land of plenty. Comic strip hero this mythical jet fighter pilot was created in 1953 by Belgian cartoonist Albert Weinberg who worked with famed artist, creator of Tintin. His 45 albums sold over 22 million copies in a dozen countries and were translated in 17 different languages but not in English. His readers would travel around the world following him in his many adventures. One of these admirers was a 12 twelve year old boy from Montreal who worshipped his hero. He would eventually go on to become an ace jet fighter pilot for the RCAF, just like Dan. Even in the United States, Dan Cooper is tied into the FBI’s only unsolved high jacking incident on US territory.
