    • Synopsis
    • Padua’s temporary jail is overcrowded. A small crew enters the jail to shoot a short film written and played by some detainees.
After a real casting, 15 detainees coming from 7 different countries are selected to stay together in a prison’s classroom. They all are awaiting trial, with difficulty to understand each other and reluctant to have patience. In five months they become actors and shoot a short film. And something has changed ...
      Director's notes.
The doc is about a 5 months adventure in an italian jail to teach the prisoners to make a short film.
It wasn’t an easy process, but I didn’t want to show the already seen rhetoric behind prisoners and their conditions.
The main goal when I started the whole project was to make them become a group.
I wanted to make a movie about some human beings of different countries in a not so seen condition: they all were waiting for trial.
They were spending their whole days waiting. I spent a lot of time with these men to understand their lives in jail and giving them a goal, making a short film, was the only way I knew to manage the process.
