    • Synopsis
    • Evridika (14) and her mother Sona (36) live in a dying town in the backwaters of Armenia, in an apartment building that stands between a river and a railway track. While her mother tours the world with her famed men’s choir of thirteen singers, Evridika is left to her own devices. Her biggest wish is to change her name and became a new person. Evridika finds as a solution internet there she invents an imaginary universe where a Prince awaits her, ready to lead her from the Kingdom of the Dead.
      In that Kingdom of the Dead there is a River and a Train, there is a Factory and a Cable Car, and there is her mother, Sona, a fascinating female conductor who doesn’t even notice her own daughter. But in that Kingdom, there has never been a Father...
      Unexpectedly, Pyotr (37) reappears in the life of her mother, Sona. Years before, it was from his love that she had fled to this small town. Their passion try to sparks up anew, but Pyotr couldn’t find in this strong woman his past love, and Sona, frustrated lock herself even deeper in her work. Evridika feels herself to be entirely pushed aside...
      With the naïve bravery of a 14-year old girl, having pulled on her homemade red stockings, Evridika hurtles towards her fate, but fleeing a terrifying encounter with a maniac, she finds herself at a table in a café with a kind stranger. Through his attentions, Pyotr gives comfort to this girl who reminds him so strongly of his first love, and he brings life to her universe with a poem about Orpheus and Evridika.
      And as Orpheus in this poem Pyotr will take Evridika away from her previous life. Now she's finally Anniko and she's not the same anymore.
