    • Synopsis
    • One of the most beautiful and fascinating films about the world's largest volcanic island: ICELAND, told through the eyes of explorer Stefan Erdmann. Experience the seemingly unreal light of the setting sun with waves several meters high, moving toward the black lava beaches. Take a hiking tour from Porsmork, to the Road of the Hot Springs to Landmannalaugar. Experience Iceland in all its beauty and glory. Episode 1: Experience the journey of Stefan Erdmann through all regions of Iceland, the most unique island in the North Atlantic. The very first scene shows Iceland the way it is: wild, brute, and full of energy, yet calm and gentle. Under the unreal light of the setting sun, waves several metres high move unstoppably with a thunderous roar toward the black lava beach of Vik I Myrdal. 2 hours Episode 2: Discover Iceland’s most popular hiking tour, starting from the mountain pass Fimmvorduhals towards the coast of Skogar – the “Laugavegar – Path of Hot Springs”. The Fjallabak is where it begins from the striking Hekla volcano through the regions of the southern and northern Fjallabak to the destination Landmannalauger. 85 minutes Episode 3: Follow German filmmaker Stefan Erdmann with his Icelandic friend Porhallur Oskarsson as they set out to film Iceland from a microlight aircraft. The result is one of the most beautiful and fascinating nature films about the world’s largest volcanic island. Erdmann gives viewers sufficient time to immerse themselves into the landscape and realize the beauty and harmony between nature and civilization.
