    • Synopsis
    • In a Voodoo ceremony gone horribly
wrong, 1960’s Beach Movie starlet, KAREN SLATER
is resurrected as a Mermaid, but not the
friendly kind. According to an ancient curse,
she must prey on 12 souls each Spring to rejuvenate
      or she dies.
Meanwhile, NICK, a college student at
Malibu State College, where all the social activities
revolve around water, is an outcast. NICK
suffers from HYDROPHOBIA (fear of water). At
a Spring Break Beach/Pool Party his roommate
drags him to, NICK meets the girl of his dreams.
She reminds him of his 60’s beach movie crush,
KAREN SLATER. It’s love at first sight!
But NICK is unaware of Karen’s ability to
morph into a lethal Mermaid with Piranha sharp
teeth, capable of devouring him in seconds!
Luckily, Nick’s immune to the creature’s
wrath, for a Mermaid will never kill the Man she
loves. Nick resembles her former lover, 60’s
      surfing champ, ROD BIGMAN.
In the end, NICK must confront his “Hydrophobia”
as he leaps into the water, forced
to choose between saving his friends from becoming
her final feast or killing the lethal Mermaid
      creature he loves.
