    • Synopsis
    • HIT tells the stories of Uruguayan songs that made history. In a 50-year-long journey, the movie goes back to some of the milestones of the music and the life of a country that move those who were present—and also those who were not. Going far beyond the anecdotes, HIT reveals how those songs became symbols and survived the passing of time. It also discovers the personal and intimate stories of their authors: those who were forgotten, those who could never let go their past success, those who were restored to fame when it was too late. Through the memories and confessions of some of the most important names in Uruguayan music, HIT brings back to life the stories of the songs that defined a country and that, in some cases, helped change history. HIT was the Uruguayan movie that topped the national box office the year of its release and broke the record of weeks in exhibition in its country in 2008. It received several awards by the Association of Film Critics of Uruguay in the categories of sound,
      editing and music, among others.
