    • Synopsis
    • Hallelujah, created by Zach Richter, Bobby Halvorson and Eames Kolar reimagines reimagines Leonard Cohen’s most iconic song and is centered around a 5-part a cappella arrangement by performer Bobby Halvorson. Throughout the virtual reality experience, the viewer is encircled by five instances of Bobby, in which he performs each auditory part of the Hallelujah arrangement himself in a different vocal range, with no instrumentation. The 360-degree, binaural audio is spatialized and positionally aware, so as you move around the space getting closer and further away from each instance of Bobby, you hear the song in different ways. As the song reaches its pinnacle, the lights in the virtual space fade to black and a stunning finale is revealed, as you are engulfed visually and aurally by the final chorus.
