    • Synopsis
    • The gentrification of Raval has made it the most desired neighborhood in Barcelona. Its streets are poor, dirty, and sexy and are now full of students, hipsters, and young couples looking to make a fresh start. Through the process of gentrification, the Raval of starving immigrants is now coverting itself into the Manhattan of Barcelona. The Raval of old is disappearing. In the midst of this change, there are still some businesses who remember the old Raval. The film is about four beauty parlours and their clientele on San Pau street. Like time capsules, these four salons are memories of old traditions and customs, while sadly, the area around them is undergoing an intense transformation into modernity. Four barbershops bare witness to this change and narrate their story of the neighborhood.
