    • Synopsis
    • Haavara, or the "transfer agreement" was set up in order to obtain visas to get Jews out of Germany in exchange for their money. Their money which is to be used to build the future State of Israel in Palestine, with German machinery and equipment... A very elaborate system which will last six years until the beginning of the war in Europe. Behind the Bauhaus facades in Tel Aviv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are hidden stories that few people know. Moving stories of German Jews fleeing Nazi Germany, of occult commissions, of bankers and entrepreneurs who were in turn cunning and shady, of architects and builders on a mission, of suspicious deaths. Stories of a "bargain with the devil" which helped save thousands. An untold but well-documented story that has just come to light because of a ceramic tile that fell from a Tel Aviv building built-in 1935. At the back was the name of a German company.
