    • Synopsis
    • GERARDO is an old farmer who has lost his faith in God due to a recent massacre in his country town. These memories torment him even in his dreams and begin to consume him little by little. INÉS, his wife, who has tried everything to help him, decides that the only hope to save GERARDO's soul is to bring the church bell home: The Call of God. With the help of the village priest and TOBIAS, the sacristan, they manage to lower the bell and place it on a cart pulled by a small donkey. Thus begins the hard viacrucis of these characters whose physical journey will end up becoming a metaphor for their spiritual journey, which will test their own faith when they have to confront all their doubts and fears.
