    • Synopsis
    • In Nottingham, three young men prepare for a contest in the early days of the Northern Soul scene. At the club hosting the contest, the owner - Mr. Lance - takes bets on who will win, and he tries to fix the result by sending two goons to break the legs of local hero Jake Bancroft, one of the contestants, a good-looking guy whom Lance's bird fancies. The goons do their dirty work on a side street while the contest gets under way, first with Spike and then with the favorite, Tony. Will Lance's dastardly plan succeed?
