    • Synopsis
    • Since a few years “Sex Salons” have been organized in Beijing, where women come together to talk openly about taboos as sex and their sexuality. The film explores the recent sexual revolution of women in China and its influence on their self-identity in a country with a history of thousands of years of Confucianism and half a century of communism. Every woman in the film carries a part of the complex and rich cultural and social Chinese history to form together a vivid and intimate portrait for Chinese women in the modern era and China’s unique character of woman emancipation.
