    • Synopsis
    • 14 year old Ben moves to London from the country so his sister can have treatment for leukaemia. In the big city he feels lonely and isolated. But then he finds a gold ring in the park. The attendant, Theodore, tells him that this is one of the original Olympic rings. The ancient artefact has come to him, indicating that Ben has the metal of a champion within him. The young lad is initially sceptical, but backed by his loyal sister Ben trains to gain a place on the local running club. School bully Jake does not want competition for places and trips Ben during the trial. But the boy simply pulls himself up, takes Theodore’s advice to find his inner strength, and gets to the finishing line first. Seven years later and Ben is competing in the Olympics.
