    • Synopsis
    • The Austro-Czechoslovakian border. Late summer 1943. A german military convoy is scattered by a sudden partisan attack. The few surviving soldiers flee with three jewish prisoners in tow into the adjascent woods. After a bloody firefight at a partisan hideout they are forced to march through a particulary sinister stretch of the forest. One of the Jewish prisoners tries to warn them, for mystical tales are told about this place, tales of bloodshed and slaughter. Unimpressed the Germans move on. Suddenly Ruth, one of the Jewish prisoners and woman branded by war and filled with rage, passes out. She awakes possessed by an ancient evil spirit, channeling her hatred and turning her into a ruthless killer. She seems to appear out of thin air, molding into the forest and hunting down one Nazi after the other. Those who were once in charge and full of arrogant power-lust are now prey and fear governs their souls. Will Ruth stop, after she killed the Germans, or is her hate uncontrollable? Are the Jews also in danger? And what happens when the most brutal SS-Officer of the group becomes possessed too?
