- Synopsis
- Akira Takasu (Masatoshi Nagase) is a sculptor who lives in a hot springs town in the countryside. During the day he works as a postal office worker, where he delivers fan letters to a young poet who lives on the outskirts of down. One day, the mysterious Takasu, who wears sunglasses all day long, becomes friends with this poet, Penguin (Masataka Kubota). Then, a girl named “Moonlit Night Star” (Sakurako Konishi) comes to Penguin, saying she’s a fan of his and wanting to be his wife. Meanwhile, a yakuza war has broken out in this quiet country town, and violent incidents begin to occur. The rough and nihilistic Takasu, the romantic and sexually impotent Pengiun, and the dreaming, childlike Moonlit Night Star fall into a volatile love triangle…
