    • Synopsis
    • In August 1763 a large, East-India cargo ship sails towards Muscat (capital of Oman). Hampered by foggy conditions disaster strikes. the ship sails too close to the shore and breaks into pieces. Of the 105 men aboard, only 30 survive. This story is about those 30 men who survive the drowning only to be confronted with an even harsher challenge: the vast desert of Oman. They walk for weeks to reach civilisation and almost don’t make it. Their exhausting trek is revealed by following in the footsteps of Cornelis Eyks, the naval officer who kept a diary of the expedition.
