Yoel and Eva have been lovingly married for decades in their small village. Eva, a Holocaust survivor, suffers from heart disease. As her health deteriorates, Yoel sells his business and devotes himself to caring for her. Now that he’s got all this spare time on his hands, Yoel decides to put their shed in order. In one of the boxes in the shed, Yoel finds a letter from the bank informing him of a lien on a property he owns. But Yoel has never heard of this property before. The bank directs him to Eva, whose signature appears on all the property’s documents. Aware of Eva’s private nature, Yoel decides to investigate the property on his own. This decision will forever change their lives.
