- “Endless Enigma of a flawed Diamond” is a biopic I wrote of Coco Chanel that follows her exploits during the five long years of World War II. The story starts with Coco, the matron of the surrealist art movement, on the eve of the very first scheduled Cannes film festival in September 1939. The same weekend Hitler invades Poland.
  
  It follows Coco the matriarch through the occupation of Paris. First during the “Drole de guerre" as she tries to continue life as it was, then thru Vichy, as she tries to rescue her Nephew (her only family) from a German prisoner of war camp. This unfruitful journey takes her back to Paris and right into the Nazi high command. Her livelihood, the house of Chanel, is in jeopardy of being Aryanized whole by the Third Reich and Coco is forced to do all she can, by any means necessary, to prevent that from happening.
  
  Part thriller, part romance, and part war movie, “The Endless Enigma of a flawed Diamond” is the definitive telling of Coco Chanel during the war and follows her story all the way to the liberation of Paris and the Épuration Sauvage.
