    • Synopsis
    • Thrilling drama on the bombing of Dresden between February 13 and 15, 1945. The life of the young nurse Anna (Felicitas Woll) seems settled: she is practically engaged to marry head physician Alexander (Benjamin Sadler), and her father (Heiner Lauterbach), the director of the clinic where she works, is already making plans for the future. Amidst the chaos and fear reigning in the city as the Soviet troops approach, Anna meets a silent, fascinating stranger. Although Robert (John Light) is an enemy bomber pilot from England, Anna helps him. But just as they begin to fall in love, their world turns upside down: Dresden is bombed by Robert's comrades in one of the most devastating air attacks of World War II. Robert, Anna and Alexander survive the first wave of attacks, but are caught in the raging inferno that Dresden has become...
