    • Synopsis
    • Near a small village in the Peruvian Andes, Diógenes, an artisan who is part of an old local painting tradition, raises his two children in absolute isolation. From time to time, Diógenes exchanges his traditional paintings in the village for supplies, while his children wait for him, looked after by his pack of dogs.

One morning, Diógenes does not wake up. Amidst the confusion, tension, and fear, the siblings live alongside his dead body for three days, longing for him to wake up.

Sabina, who is only 10 years old, will acknowledge her father's death, and together with her brother, will set fire to the body, just as they have done with their dead dogs. Sabina will take on her father's role and go to the village to trade, where she will learn more about the past of her family, then deciding to remain in isolation.
