    • Synopsis
    • The film is based on the life story of the great physicist of the 20th century, Nobel prize winner scientist Lev Landau.
      Two main stages of his life design the film:
      The early 1930’s, life of Landau and other physicists from various countries who passed their internship in Copenhagen and London and later created nuclear and hydrogen weapons on different continents: North America and the USSR.
      The mid 1930’s, first capital of Ukraine, Kharkov, the story of the largest Soviet Institute of Physics of the time that hosted Landau and other physicist who fled Germany, Austria, and Hungary after Hitler took over. The Institute was liquidated in the late 1930’s, all major scientists including Landau were subjects to repressions while German and Austrian physicists were later expelled back to Germany, that under Hitler.
      The film will be complemented by private life of Landau, the relationships with his wife, invention and implementation of his personal theory of free matrimonial love, the one he believed to be one of his major achievements.
